Midway Sign & Park

Amazingly located about 1,561 miles from both San Francisco and New York, a famous sign marks Kinsley, Kansas as "Midway USA." Since 1939, when The Saturday Evening Post coined the term, our city has been recognized as the halfway point between the nation’s East and West.

The memorial park showcases a fully tracked and heavily armored M60A3 tank, evoking the powerful war machines utilized in past world wars.

Kinsley Civil War Monument

Created by American Civil War veteran David A. Lester, the monument stands as a tribute to the spirit of cooperation and goodwill among community members striving for the greater good. This impressive structure highlights the importance of unity and collaboration in shaping a thriving community. Visitors can find this remarkable attraction at Hillside Cemetery, located just 1½ miles west of Kinsley City along County Line Road (1st Street), making it an easily accessible stop for those looking to appreciate both history and community values.

Kinsley Gun Club
