NOXIOUS WEED DEPARTMENT

The Edwards County Noxious Weed Department plays a crucial role in supporting the county’s largest industry—agriculture—by providing professional services, consultation, recommendations, and weed identification. The department is committed to reducing the spread of noxious weeds through proper chemical treatments, ensuring the protection of crop production and pastureland while also considering environmental impact and financial sustainability for the community.

Serving cities, townships, the state, private landowners, and county lands, the department also provides non-noxious weed control, including chemical mowing, bare ground applications, and brush control measures for townships. The primary responsibility of the Weed Department is the treatment and enforcement of noxious weed regulations, helping to maintain the health and productivity of Edwards County’s land.

The Edwards County Weed Department is located at 726 W 6th St in Kinsley, Kansas, and can be reached at (620) 659-3010.
